Q: "Tell us about any previous racing experience?"

A:
Lorna -

"Participated in the previous Tournament of Destruction Women's Free-For-All demos up until they ended in 2006 and currently race in the Car Spectator Series."

Rebecca -

"Does the Beauty Contest count? This will be my first time behind the wheel!"

Branka -

"I raced Powder Puff at Santa Fe Speedway in the early 90s a few times, but it just wasn't for me. After years of pleading, my then-husband allowed me to do a demo and I was hooked! I drove in one at Route 66 and a few at Sycamore Speedway."

Christy -

"I raced in the Women's Free-For-All demo in 2003 and 2004, taking 1st place in 2003!"

Megan -

"I've raced at Sycamore Speedway since 2000 and drove in their demo derby for the last 5 years. Also have raced enduro cars at Rockford Speedway and drove in the Kane County Fair demo derby since 2008."

Jeanette -

"None! I'm a virgin!"

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment from those races?

A:
Rebecca -

"Does the daily drive on the Dan Ryan expressway count?"

Jeanette -

"Hit a deer, or maybe a mailbox one time!"

Branka -

"Winning a demo derby at Sycamore Speedway in 2008 and I was the only woman in the field!"

Megan -

"First female to win one-on-one stock street vehicle races at Sycamore Speedway in the very first attempt; Won a compact car demo derby the first time I entered and also won a full-size car demo."

Q: Are you a "Runner" or a "Crusher" for your team this weekend?

A:
Branka -

"I've never raced Team Demo before, but I will ask to be a Crusher!"

Christy -

"I don't know if I'm a Runner or Crusher yet. I'm going out there and going buck wild! I have to put on a good show and represent my last name."

Rebecca -

"Runner. On the advice of Elmer Fandrey (#67 on Orange Crush), I must learn to adapt to any situation. Even though I may be a Runner, I still may have to block or crush at anytime."

Lorna -

"I'd rather crush!"

Q: Which Team Demo drivers are your biggest influence?

A:
Christy -

"My #1 influence for racing demos is my father Pete "Repete" Millette Sr. He started racing Team Demos in 1975. I am among 20+ family members to have raced in Team Demos. Special thanks to my brother Peter Millette Jr, Phil Johnston, Ron Johnston, Guppy etc., Everybody at the Full Throttle garage!

Rebecca -

"Brian "The Crusher" Southwick #6666 my uncle who is the reason I got involved in the first place. I started watching him race back in Santa Fe days in the early 80's. He was one of the founders of team Orange Crush. My brother Gene Ketelaar and cousin Dan Ketelaar both raced for a couple of years. Ron "IronMan" Tyrakowski #66 another founder of the original Orange Crush and one of the oldest drivers out there. Elmer Fandrey #67 raced for Team Extreme, Havoc, and now Orange Crush. Thanks to Elmer for giving me this opportunity and having the confidence in me to race. Hopefully we can both walk away with a checkered flag Saturday night."

Lorna -

"My Mom, Allison Millette. She raced Ladies Team Demos at Santa Fe in the 80s. Teams were "Angels" and "Devils." Mom was a Honey Angel. She told me the other day 'Put it to the floor and don't eat the wall!'"

Megan -

"My brother Ryan Decker would be my biggest influence. He peeked my interest in it. I wanted to do it the first time I saw him, but he didn't want me out running with the guys."

Jeanette -

"I was born into demos, raised around demos. Santa Fe was my play ground growing up. My father, Jim "Pudgy" McGuire, raced out there along with my uncle JR Franklin, my Dad who raised me Steve Gursky Sr, and many other family and friends. My two brothers race today on Reckoning: Chris McGuire and Steve Gursky Jr. All of them have influenced and inspired me to dream of the day I would get behind the wheel of a demo car, just so happens this Saturday it comes true! I only hope to make them all proud! I'm also doing this in memory of my cousin who passed away this year Caroline Dupes! She raced for the first time last year in the Spectator Series and miss her!"

Q: "Racin' For Boobs" will support and raise awareness for breast cancer research. Any personal motivations to help crush cancer?

A:
Lorna -

"I have Aunts that beat Breast Cancer and my late Grandmother Maggie fought cancer until she died. That's where the team name "HIGH RISK" came to mind. I was born to CRUSH Cancer!"

Christy -

"I am high risk for breast cancer and my mother Kerree Millette-Obecunas is a survivor after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998."

Jeanette -

"My sister-in-law's family has two breast cancer survivors and I have friends with family members who have fought breast cancer. It's something no one should have to go through."
